The Swim Jet X is built with durable, rust-resistant stainless steel components. However, depending on your pool's water conditions, you may occasionally notice some surface rust on the screws or other metal parts.
Don't worry—minor surface rust is generally cosmetic and does not affect your Swim Jet X's performance or lifespan.**
Why does this happen?
Stainless steel is designed to resist rust, but it isn't completely rust-proof. Pool chemicals, salt, and other substances in the water may cause minor surface rust over time. This is a natural reaction to certain pool environments and doesn't necessarily mean there's anything wrong with your Swim Jet X.
How can I prevent or remove rust?
1. Rinse and Dry Regularly
Rinse your Swim Jet X with fresh water periodically to wash away pool chemicals and residue. After rinsing, allow it to dry in a well-ventilated area.
2. Gently Remove Surface Rust
For minor rust spots, try wiping them away with a soft cloth. If rust stains appear on your pool surface, you can use a pool-safe rust stain remover according to the product instructions. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals directly on your Swim Jet X.
If the rust is severe or continues to appear, please provide:
1. Clear, close-up photos of the affected screws or metal components.
