Yes, we generally recommend turning off the pool pump while the Pool Cleaner is operating.
Strong water flow from the pool circulation system, return jets, or main drain suction may affect the robot’s navigation, cleaning path, wall-climbing performance, and debris collection efficiency. In some cases, drain suction may also pull the cleaner toward the drain area and interfere with normal operation.
For the best cleaning performance, it is recommended to pause the pool pump during the cleaning cycle and restart it after the robot has finished cleaning.
